What to Look For Before Buying

I would focus on compatibility first, as that ensures your helmet stays secure. Always consider material durability alongside the specific demands of the running back position. Finally, look for features that boost your vision and range of motion.

Check Helmet Compatibility

Always verify that the facemask matches your specific helmet model and size. Mismatched components can compromise safety and lead to installation issues. Check the product specifications for exact series compatibility. Most manufacturers list compatible helmet lines clearly on the packaging.

Consult your team equipment manager if you are unsure about the fit.

Value Material Quality

Carbon steel is the industry standard for impact protection. It is a smart balance of strength and cost for varsity athletes. Titanium is lighter, but it costs more. Pick a material that fits your budget.

Rating Position-Specific Design

Running backs need gear that helps them see and move. Tapered designs improve your range of motion during quick cuts. Look for Raised Brow tech to help deflect energy away from your helmet.

Verify Visor Compatibility

Many players use visors for glare reduction. Ensure your mask works with major visor brands. Check that mounting points allow for easy installation. Reliable mounting keeps your shield secure during the game.
